  1. 01Start the search.Talk to Kate. Speak to William upstairs; he demands the book, then Aldous's hammer. Take the stone from Aldous's bust.
  2. 02Chase Rusty through the house.Throw the stone at the tail under the log by the window, chase Rusty from under the chair, chase him from behind the bust, and finally chase him from the servant-room stove.
  3. 03Complete the cat check.Optional achievementWhen Rusty rests with Kate, pet his head repeatedly until the star appears.
  4. 04Open the hidden cabinet.Read Aldous's note after Rusty climbs the chandelier. On the hunting photo, click hat, rifle, bear's eyes, then crow. The hidden passage to the office opens.
